Peggy Lee Curtis

Peggy Lee Curtis was called to eternal life on Tuesday, November 1, 2016. Peggy was born on August 27, 1947. She graduated with her high school diploma. Peggy was the mother to her devoted daughter, Yolanda Curtis and loving son, Anthony Curtis. She was a proud grandmother of Andre Jackson. She began a career with the Board of Governor’s Federal Reserve in Washington, D.C. from which she retired. During her tenure there her dedication was acknowledged. She received awards and promotions for her commitment. Peggy had an active spirit and began a second career with the Charles County Public School System where she then retired for the second time. In her days of leisure, she enjoyed travel and the comforts of home. Her favorite pastime was being with family and hosting events. Easter dinner was her favorite which she would create a huge spread. Peggy’s home was a place of comfort for all. She was Aunt Peggy to many family friends. She had a spirit of giving that shined and made all feel welcome. She loved cooking and making sure that no one left her home hungry. Peggy loved eating at Red Lobster when she wasn’t in the kitchen. She loved shopping and going to the movies. She also, enjoyed playing the slot machines at the casino. Her affectionate personality has left smiles on many faces. She was fun loving and enjoyed life. Peggy had many friends who enjoyed being in her presence. Peggy’s devotion to her family went beyond measure. There was nothing that she wouldn’t do for her loved ones. Her sacrifices will forever be remembered and treasured. Her presence will be greatly missed by all, but we know that her spirit will be forever present. Peggy leaves to cherish her loving memories: mother, Ruth Green (preceded in death); daughter, Yolanda Curtis; son, Anthony Curtis; grandson, Andre Jackson; sisters, Elaine Miller and Sharon Lattimore (John); brothers, Michael Green (preceded in death) and Anthony Cole (preceded in death); nieces, Elizabeth Miller, DeeDee Miller (preceded in death), Nicole Brooks (Corey), Jaquay Green; nephews, Marvin Green and Michael Green, Jr.; great nieces, Chaynce Green, Marzieh Green and Camauri Green-Wright; great nephews, Aaron Trimble, Carl and Caihyon Green, Cole Brooks and a host of relatives and friends. Services will be held on Friday November 11, 2016 at St. Peter's Church at 3320 St. Peter's Drive Waldorf, MD 20601 viewing 9:30 am service 10:30 am Interment: Private
