Obituary for Vincent B. Dunston Vincent Bernard Dunston was born on Saturday, June 14, 1952 in Washington, DC to Walter and Lena Dunston (deceased). He is the second oldest of four siblings: Walter Jr, Christopher, and Deborah (Alexander). Vincent grew up in Washington, DC and attended Eastern High School, where he played football and was a star athlete. Vincent graduated from Eastern High School in 1971 and joined the US Army after high school. In the military, he found a passion in the medical field and pursued it after serving in the army. He had a long and exhaustive career in the medical field as a dialysis technician, registered cardiovascular technologist, cardiovascular tech supervisor, and a cardiovascular technician consultant for Dr. Nelson in his private medical practice. He worked more than 50 years in the medical field. Some of the hospitals Vincent worked at and was well known, liked and loved were the Washington Hospital Center, Providence Hospital, University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore City and Holy Cross Hospital. He retired from Holy Cross Hospital in March 2021. In March of 2000, Vincent married his lovely wife, Charlene, and became the proud bonus Dad to Steven, Charvass, Dock, and Lester. He was also the proud father of Takeya, Ieesha, Toriano, DeVario, and Keyona from his first marriage. Then, some years later, Vincent had the honor of also becoming the proud bonus Dad to Shamir, Michelle and La-Toya through his second marriage. Vincent was a great man! His values included, Love, loyalty, laughter, and a love for the Dallas Cowboys. Anyone who knew him, worked with him, or had the pleasure of being related to Vincent were counted as lucky. He was a great dad, and did his best to be a truly great provider. While there are many words to describe Vincent, there are no words or not enough words to describe the loss of him. Vincent sincerely wanted to be remembered as a loving husband, a loving and proud father to all 12 of his kids, and a great and loving grandfather to all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. At his untimely passing, Vincent leaves behind his beautiful wife, Charlene. He also leaves behind his children: Steven (Keisha), Charvass, Dock, Lester, Takeya, Ieesha, Toriano (Ericka), DeVario (Melonie), Keyona, Shamir, Michelle, and La-Toya. Vincent is also survived by his niece, Auden and nephew, Beyan, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
