Ms. Sheila Ann Hall

Sheila Ann Hall (Polk)Sheila Ann Hall (Polk), daughter of the late Lillie Mae Polk, was born October 6, 1952, in Sherman Texas. She passed away peacefully on November 24, 2020. Baptized in her early teen years, Sheila believed whole heartily in the Lord.Sheila was the oldest daughter of six siblings. Her brother, Terry Don Pannell, preceded her death.In December 1966, Sheila's family moved to California where she attended Hoover Middle School, Merced High School, and was a A+ student. After graduating, she attended Merced College. Sheila’s passion for fashion and beauty lead her to attend beauty school in San Francisco, California.Sheila always took pride in her appearance; and was always matched from head to toe. She also had a passion for music. As the lead vocalist, two of her younger sisters would often serve as background singers. Her melodious voice often mimicked Dianna Ross and Aretha Franklin while holding her hairbrush microphone. Her favorite Supreme song was, “You Can’t Hurry Love.”Sheila also loved to sew and draw. She would spend hours sketching her designs on paper which were used to make her own clothing. Following her late mother's footsteps, she had one of the “Biggest” green thumbs when it came to plants.In 1975, Sheila and her daughter, Angelique, moved to Maryland, where she soon married and began a career at Coopers & Lybrand as a telephone operator.After this union dissolved several years later, Sheila devoted her time helping others, and became a group home counselor for the elderly.Sheila was spontaneous, and outgoing, with a pure heart of gold, full of spunk, and never had a problem speaking her mind. Her contagious smile would light up a room and her stroll was that of a runway model.Sheila leaves to cherish her memories: Her lovely daughter, Ms. Angelique Norfles, grandchildren, Ashley Denny (Jovan), husband, Aaron L. Brown Jr., four great grandchildren, August, A’yanna, Isaiah, and Jo’Lee,Siblings, Tonsie Thomas (Newnan, GA), Janie Roman (Palmdale, CA), Brenda Pannell, (Los Angeles, CA), Clifford Pannell Jr. (Bluefield WV), Billy Polk, (Sherman, TX)Her long-life friend/companion, William Locke, his children and his grandchildren. Special acknowledgment to - as Sheila would say “my girl” Keimonie Hines and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
