Mrs. Mildred Yvonne Lindler

Mildred Yvonne Lindler (Millie) was born on July 20,1950 in Washington D.C., at DC General Hospital to the late Russell Curtis Burnett and Mary Burnett Kerrick. Mildred entered eternal rest with our LORD on April 29, 2021 at the age of 70, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Mildred was united with The Providence Baptist Church at a very young age, where she served on several ministries. It was at Providence where her love grew for the Lord and led her to be baptized. She was educated in the District of Columbia School System and graduated from Eastern Senior High School. As a young adult, Mildred began her work career at the Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration, and retired from the Department of State in 2015. After retirement, her great grandson Noah Arrington was born, and she took on the role as his nanny with pleasure. Noah has even inherited his “GG” weird ways of picking off the brown/burnt spots on potato chips and French fries. Mildred was blessed with five children; two sons and three daughters. She spent quality time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren on family vacations enjoying the water parks, beaches, movies, and anything else they desired. She could be regularly seen at her grandchildren and great-grandchildren extracurricular events cheering for her babies. She had tremendous LOVE for her family, a bond that would last a LIFETIME. In her leisure time, she found enjoyment in playing video games, spades, completing crossword puzzles and eating seafood. She was a connoisseur of literature and loved to read. Mildred was preceded in death by her son, Roscoe (Doodie) Lindler Jr.; Step-father Arlington Kerrick Sr.; Siblings: Helen Washington, Deloris Kibler, Gloria Mosley, Lorraine Burnett, Annette Turkvan, Judy Waring, Mary Lee, Arlington Kerrick Jr., and Earl Kerrick. To honor, cherish, and carry on Mildred’s precious memory, she leaves her four children: Charlene Lindler-Fletcher (Michael), Sean Lindler (Geanyika), Raynele Lindler, and Danielle Lindler; Grandchildren: Danika Lindler, Roscoe Rosborough, Eric Middleton Jr., Ma’Kal Fletcher, Ma’Kayla Cayard, Damari Sedgwick, Mya Fletcher, and Jalen Lindler; Great- grandchildren: Amber Holder, Eric Middleton III, Noah Arrington, and Isaiah Middleton; Siblings: Edward Kerrick, Frances Kerrick, Izar Kerrick, and Brenda Kerrick; Godson: Durrell Becton; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Mildred’s loving and warm-hearted spirit will truly be missed by all who loved her dearly.
