Mr. Linwood Laymond Lambert

On January 1, 1949, Linwood Laymond Lambert, the second to the last of 10 children was born to loving parents, Charlie Lambert and Geneva Coleman Lambert in Saxe, Virginia. Linwood attended public school in Saxe, Virginia. In the early 1960's. Linwood moved to northern Virginia to attend Welding School. Upon graduation, he accepted the status of master welder. He often spoke proudly of having worked on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. Upon retiring from his welding career, he became a landscaper. In a very short period, he had mastered the field of landscaping becoming a master landscaper as he ranked with the very best. Just taking a ride through his neighborhood and taking in the view of the beautiful landscapes is a testament to his superior ability and the excellent quality of his work. As often as possible, Linwood enjoyed deep sea fishing with his friends. He also looked forward to watching the Sunday line up of football games with great enthusiasm a s well as Monday and Thursday night games! Linwood gained great enjoyment from his discussions with neighbors and friends about the status of politics in America. If you missed the latest broadcast from MSNBC or CNN, he was your guy because he had the latest information and a n opinion ready for a lighthearted discussion. Linwood married Martha Parker Lambert Smith and from that union four children were born, Gwendolyn, Linwood, J r (deceased), Amanda (Troy) & Denise (David). Linwood later fathered Detra Keitt (Ezia) born to Alma Jean Wyatt Lambert. Linwood understood with certainty that his assignment on earth was temporary and accepted his wings on November 8th 2025. He was proceeded in death by his parents, sisters Nannie & Eva, brothers Charles, Albert, Frank, Willie, Joe, Fred and his son Linwood, Jr. Linwood leaves his legacy of love to his spouse, Joyce L Thompson, to his four daughters, Gwendolyn, Amanda (Troy), Denise (David), Detra (Ezia), his Grandchildren: Earl Smalls, Lynette Smalls, Rashard Lambert, Zayion Carter, Clarence Lambert, Precious Lambert, Rayven Lambert, Travon Wyatt & Shawn Genius, Great grand Children: Symiah Lambert, Omari Wyatt, Danaye Smalls & Amare Smalls. Sister, Mary Rice of Farmville, VA a special nephew Leon Lambert (Lynn) of New Castle, DE and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
