Jonathan David Lee Robinson

Jonathan David Lee Robinson was born December 4th, 1984 to Denise and Terrance Robinson at Columbia Hospital for Women in Washington D.C. A descendant of a very spiritual family- Jonathan accepted Christ in his life at the age of 10 at Mount Joy Baptist Church. He was called home to the Lord on Thursday, January 23rd, 2020 surrounded by loved ones. Described by many as an intelligent, curious, and incredibly funny; he was a loving son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend! Jonathan was educated in the Prince George’s County Public School system: Fort Washington Forest Elementary School, Gwynn Park Middle School, and Oxon Hill High School-proudly representing the class of 2002. He went on to attend North Carolina Central University where he received his bachelor’s degree in computer science. Jonathan was incredibly passionate about education which lead him to attend George Washington University earning his master’s degree in computer information systems. Jonathan was no stranger to hard work. As a young adult he began his professional career as an employee for the City of Alexandria. Ultimately choosing a career in I.T. and Change Management he worked with several notable organizations including but not limited to UCLA, and HONDA. He enjoyed the beach and beautiful weather. He found both while living in Los Angeles, California. He was a world traveler exploring terrains in Africa and Europe. Semi adventurous, he once went sky-diving while in Las Vegas. Jonathan was an advocate for cultural diversity and inclusion and a man of high moral character. He enjoyed life’s sweetest offerings. He loved sports, talking sports (in his youth his family thought he was going to be a sports commentator), and playing basketball. He was often laughing, making others laugh, and communicating through movie quotes. Some of his past times included listening to music and talk radio, playing kickball, reading, watching movies, and spending time with his family and friends. He was an enthusiastic, compassionate, and overall amazing man; Jonathan truly lived life to the fullest personifying the philosophy “Life is short, love well, live open, fear nothing”. Jonathan is survived by his Mother-Denise Robinson, Father-Terrance Robinson, Sister-Lisa Graham(Andre), Niece-Laila Graham, Soulmate- Suzie Schick, Grandfather- Bill Woods, Godson-Elijah Jones, Uncle- Michael Woods (Eula), Aunts- Minister Theresa(Aunty T) Wright (Walter), Janice Jackson, Cousins- China Perry(William), Dwayne Hayes (Janice), Darrell Valentine, Eddie Corrothers (Adrienne), Cherese White, LaTricia (Lala) Jones, Richard Epps, SaLesha (Lele) Mason, Lorenzo Mason, Chris Elder, Tamika Kargbo, Chelcese Kargbo, Lea Valentine, ,Mikhala Hayes, Noah Hayes, L’Meka Kargbo, Jasmine Valentine, Royce Mason, Messiah Jones, Jaylen Valentine, and host of best friends, friends, and relatives.
