Mr. Jeffery Myers

Jeffery (Jeff) Myers, name meaning peace, was born to Barbara Ann (Harris) and Willie Myers on March 22nd, 1967, in Washington, DC. He grew up in NE Washington, DC with his best friend Michael (Mike) Andrews, friends Robert (Rob), Philip (Phil) Norman, Marcel Norman, William (Buddy) Taylor, cousins Matthew (JR) Myers, Jr, and Bernard (Bunga) Bodden, as well as his brother Derrick Myers. He attended McKinley Tech with his best friend, Mike, before graduating from H.D. Woodson High School. He moved to Baltimore, and Parkville, MD with his long-time girlfriend, Alicia, who then became his wife in April of 2018 before moving to Homestead, FL in June of 2021. While in Florida, Jeff had planned to learn how to surf, buy a boat, teach his wife, Alicia, how to sail, jet ski, and enjoy his new life in Miami/Homestead, Florida. He also planned to travel to many places around the world. He wanted to buy him and Alicia motorcycles so they could take road trips and ride with his best friend Mike, to their hearts’ content. He also planned to build a family home in Florida. Jeff passed away on June 24 th , 2022, at the age of 55, when God decided He needed Jeff in heaven. Jeff was an incredible person who loved living his life to the fullest. He loved to cook, ride motorcycles, work on cars, work on homes, spend countless hours enjoying his family and friends, as well as go on adventures. He had many hopes, dreams, and goals for the remainder of his life in Florida. Jeff poured his heart and soul into his work, and everyone who met Jeff absolutely admired him. There truly wasn’t anything that Jeff couldn’t do (except electrical work). Jeff touched everybody’s lives and made it a point to make all those he encountered feel important and special. He showed up when it mattered, gave to those in need, and would defend and stand up for his loved ones without hesitation. He was a protector, provider and hard worker. He was a great son, brother, father, friend, and the perfect husband to his wife Alicia. Anyone that truly knew him, knew that Jeff had a big heart. He loved fiercely and deeply, and kept his family safe. Because Jeff’s passing was so unexpected, his family and friends were surrounded by grief, but take great comfort in knowing that Jeff is now at peace surrounded by God’s light. He was and always will be immensely treasured by everyone that knew him. He is survived by his Wife, Alicia; his children, Kanisha Melanie, Jeremy, Gabriel Brianna, and Jeffrey Austin; Grandsons, Aidan and Greyson; Mother, Barbara Ann (Harris) Myers; Father, Willie Myers; Brother, Derrick (Faith); Sisters, Kimberly Myers, Nicole Myers, and Tameka Myers; Nieces, Jasmine, Chase, and MacKenzie, and Nephews, Michael and Derrick, Jr.; many aunts; uncles; and numerous cousins. “You never said I’m leaving, you never said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knew why. A million times we needed you, a million times we cried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place that no one could ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone.
