Emma Lee Precia

A Reflection of Life On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, after fighting a courageous battle against a debilitating illness, Emma Lee Precia was called home to be with her Lord and Savior. Emma was born on June 28, 1943, to William D. Everett and Hattie May Everett. Shortly after her birth, Hattie changed both her and Emma's last names to Harrison, honoring the surname of Emma's grandparents. Emma was raised in Tarboro, North Carolina, surrounded by the love of her extended Harrison family. In the early 1960s, Emma moved with her mother to Washington, D.C., where she attended Garnett-Patterson Junior High School. Records of her high school education are unclear, but her life and legacy speak volumes. Emma dedicated many years of service to Walter Reed Army Medical Center before retiring. Emma was a devoted mother who raised her children with deep love, wisdom, and patience. She instilled in them valuable life skills and led by example, showing kindness, compassion, and calmness in every interaction. Those who knew her never saw her angry or heard her raise her voice. Her gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Emma embraced life to the fullest, enjoying gardening, drawing, painting, cooking, baking, home repairs, physical fitness, attending church, and the company of loved ones. Throughout her life, Emma was always an active member of her church. She sang in the choir and later served as a church greeter, always greeting others with a warm and welcoming smile. Emma is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Leon and Yolanda Harrison: daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Robert Fralin Jr; son, Dwayne Precia; son, James Precia; ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; sister Priscilla, from her father's side, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loyal, devoted, life-long companion, Allen White. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence H. Precia and her brother, Jessie Harrison. Emma Lee Precia was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. Her gentle nature and unwavering love will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished. A Life Well Lived
