Shawn Jamal Minor

Shawn Jamal Minor was born on April 3, 1989, to the late Karla Minor (Wee-Wee) and Peter McElhaney (Pig) in Washington, DC. Shawn departed this life on May 22, 2022. Shawn attended DC Public Schools and PG County Public Schools and graduated from Suitland Senior High School in 2009. October 14, 1998 Shawn accepted Christ and was baptized at Rivers of Joy Bible Fellowship Church. Throughout Shawn's teenage and adult years, he developed a strong interest in driving, riding dirt bikes, motorcycles and building race cars. He was a family-oriented man who loved spending time with his family and friends and simply enjoying life and always thinking of what to do next. Shawn was an unselfish person who would give the clothes off his back. He was a fun and loving person to be around. Shawn was a generous, kind hearted, caring person with an affectionate smile and a contagious laugh. Shawn was a happy guy and a joy to be around. He loved providing for his family; he was a dedicated father to his three children and a protector. Shawn will truly be missed by everyone that knows him. To know Shawn was to love him. Shawn leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memories three children: Mishawn, Shawn, and Kamille; Grandparents: Shirley Minor -Beale (Haywood); three brothers: Antoine Minor, Marc Minor, Wayne Minor; sister: LaSandra Montgomery; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
